  Committee Decision 21st October 2008

An emergency committee meeting was held to discuss a situation that had arisen with Teversham Conservative Club (A) on Thursday 16th October just before the season had started.

BACKGROUND

  • For various reasons the Teversham Conservative Club (A) captain decided to leave the team. This, along with another player who was no longer able to play meant that they did not have enough players to continue as a team. Their match against Rathmore (A) was canceled at very short notice.
  • 2 registered Teversham Conservative Club (A) players (A. Smillie, A. Moden) played for other teams that evening.
  • The committee was informed on 17th October that Teversham Conservative Club (A) wanted to withdraw from the league due to a lack of players.

DECISIONS

  • Points gained by A. Smillie, and A. Moden on 16th October for White Lion (A) and Lion & Lamb will now be voided.
  • The relevant amended results are now King St. Run (A) 8 - 4 White Lion (A) (was originally 6-6) and Girton S.C. 6 - 6 Lion & Lamb (was originally 5-7).
  • Players who may have lost to these players will get their hotshot points for frames in which they were beaten.
  • A. Smillie will be allowed to transfer to White Lion (A) with immediate affect, but will not be permitted to play in matches against Teversham Conservative Club (A) for the remainder of the winter 2008/9 season (2 League Matches and any KO cup match).
  • A. Smillie will not be permitted another transfer this season, and will not be allowed to transfer during the next season, although may transfer between the seasons.
  • A. Moden transfer request is turned down and he will be return to playing for Teversham Conservative Club (A), as he was already subject to a Transfer Ban from the previous season.
  • S. King and M. Myhill, who had played for White Lion (A) on 16th October, have put in a transfer request and will be allowed to transfer to Teversham Conservative Club (A) to enable the team to have enough players to fulfill the remainder of the seasons fixtures.
  • The Rathmore (A) v Teversham Conservative Club (A) match will be recorded as a 7-0 win to Rathmore (A), as requested by Rathmore (A) according to the constitution rule on late postponements.

All decisions were unanimously agreed by all committee members present at the meeting.
